Who this is for

You're good at your job.
But leadership is a different game.

The higher you go, the less technical skill matters — and the more influence, presence, and political intelligence determine your trajectory. Most high-performers get stuck here.

You're operating below your potential

You know you're capable of more, but something is holding you back — whether it's visibility, confidence, or clarity on what the next step actually looks like.

You've hit a ceiling

You've been at the same level for a while. Promotions have gone to others. You're not sure what's missing — or how to change the perception stakeholders have of you.

You've just stepped up

You've landed a bigger role and want to make the transition successfully — shifting from being a strong individual contributor to being a credible, trusted leader.

What we work on

The skills that actually get you promoted

Executive presence & gravitasHow you show up in a room — your voice, your body language, your confidence under pressure, and how senior leaders perceive you.
Stakeholder influenceBuilding relationships with the people who make decisions about your career — and learning to navigate organisational politics without compromising your integrity.
Strategic communicationCommunicating at the level your ambition requires — concise, confident, and calibrated for the audience in front of you.
Leading high-performance teamsMotivating, developing, and holding your team accountable in a way that builds trust and delivers results.
Promotion readinessA clear, honest assessment of where you are relative to the next role — and a specific strategy to close the gap.
Managing up, down & acrossThe art of influence without authority — leading peers, managing upward, and creating alignment across teams and functions.
My edge

I've led at every level you're trying to reach.

25 years of corporate leadership means I don't teach leadership from a textbook. I coach it from lived experience — the wins, the setbacks, and the hard lessons that only come from actually doing it.

The Second-Line Leader Readiness Matrix

Who on your team is actually ready for promotion — and who isn't? Most companies promote the wrong people for the wrong reasons. This framework helps you get it right.

Performance →
Potential Trap
High skill, poor behaviour
Do not promote yet — moving them up will poison your culture. Put them through targeted blind-spot coaching first.
Future Leader ✓
High skill, great behaviour
Promote immediately. Give them leadership coaching to transition smoothly from task execution to strategic management.
Replace or Move
Low skill, poor behaviour
Net drain on company energy and resources. Manage out or transition to a different role immediately.
Culture Anchor
Low skill, great behaviour
Keep in their current role — they are culturally valuable. Upskill them, but do not promote to management yet.
← Low behaviour High behaviour →

Not sure where your team members sit on this matrix? Leadership coaching helps you diagnose the gaps, build the right people, and create a second leadership layer that lets you scale without burning out.

The 30-Day New Leader Transition Plan

When an individual contributor is promoted to management, they usually fail — because they keep doing their old job. Use this structure to shift their mindset from execution to strategy.

Days 1–10

The Handoff Phase

Strip them of daily execution tasks. Transfer their accounts and files to other team members. Introduce them formally as the new operational leader.

Coaching guardrail
Their success is no longer measured by their own work — but by the output of their team.
Days 11–20

The Audit Phase

Schedule 1-on-1 discovery sessions with each team member. Ask three questions only: What is working? What is broken? What do you need from me?

Coaching guardrail
Listen and take notes only. Do not implement new rules or make changes yet.
Days 21–30

The Strategy Phase

Set up the weekly team meeting rhythm. Introduce performance dashboards. Deliver the first departmental forecast or progress report to the leadership team.

Coaching guardrail
Sit in on their first team meeting as a silent observer. Give feedback only afterward.
